Just As I am

Over the years as I've written for a few blogs and dabbled in teaching, the one comment that kept returning to me had to do with my transparency. Although complimentary, it has also been confusing. I mean, isn't transparency organic to Christianity? Apparently not.

Thus, striking out on my own with a virgin blogspot of my own, it wasn't hard to come up with the blogname CELLOPHANE, Transparency for Jesus Sake. I believe transparency is organic and a necessary component of Life Together with other believers, whether that community is in my living room, or in cyberspace. I love where Jesus plopped my family, on the outskirts of Seattle, in the Pacific Northwest, one of the least churched areas in America. I hope to create an edgier forum for orthodox Christianity where we banter theology and Scripture, exchange life and culture, and challenge some form of CELLOPHANE for Jesus name.

"The person whose touchiness and vanity make him spurn a brother's earnest censure cannot speak the truth in humility to others; he is afraid of being rebuffed and of feeling that he has been aggrieved. The touchy person will always become a flatterer and very soon he will come to despise and slander his brother. But the humble person will stick both to truth and to love. He will stick to the Word of God and let it lead him to his brother. Nothing can be more cruel than the tenderness that consigns another to his sin." Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together
